FREE 1 week training programme for young people wanting to gain experience in Cooking

The Princes Trust and Co-Exist Community Kitchen are running a new week long programme for young people who are interested in seeing what the cooking industry is all about. The course is available for anyone between the ages of 16-25 and not in education, employment or training.

Get Started in Cooking- September, Bristol

Taster Day: 17th September
Programme Dates: 22nd – 26th September

The programme offers the opportunities to:

Ø Get experience working in a community kitchen and developing cooking skills

Ø Gain practical skills used in the catering industry

Ø Gain a Food Hygiene Qualification

Ø Enjoy a fun week improving your teamwork, communication skills and confidence

Ø Get three months support after the programme to help you move into employment education or training

Painting the Town Green

On Thursday 12th June, Voscur will be running an event at the St. Werburgh’s Centre showcasing the fantastic work of voluntary and community organisations involved in sustainability. The event will focus on various themes such as reduce, reuse and recycle,community energy solutions to various issues and parks and green spaces among many others.

The event is free for both attendees and exhibitors, and lunch will be provided by Fareshare South West.
